Skrib is a writing studio for long-form work. The Plan is an infinite canvas where you lay out structure, characters and research. The Draft is where you write, with industry-standard formatting and multiple versions inside one project. The Library keeps every project and imported file searchable. All three sit in one browser tab, so the plan stays beside the page.
Each of them does one part of the job. Word is a document editor built for office work. Final Draft is made for screenplays, so your novel and your research live somewhere else. Notion is good for notes but knows nothing about story structure or script format. Skrib puts planning, drafting and research in one place for novels and screenplays, so nothing you decide or find gets lost between apps.
Skrib has two parts. The Studio is $8 a month, and there is a one-off Lifetime licence at $200. Companion is optional and goes on top. Basic is $4 a month, Pro is $16 and Max is $88. You can pair any Studio plan with any Companion plan, or turn Companion off. Paying yearly saves at least 25%.
